Privacy Policy — Bark Yard & Beyond

Bark Yard & Beyond (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. Information we collect
When you use our contact form, we collect any information you choose to provide, which may include:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Suburb
- Number of dogs living at your property
- Service required
- Whether you’d like odour neutralising spray ($5 per visit)
- Whether you’d like off-site waste removal ($5 per visit)
- Any other details you share with us in your message
We do not otherwise track or collect personal information about visitors. We use Google Search Console only to understand website performance — it does not show us personal data about you.
2. How we use your information
We collect and use the information you provide solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide our services
- Follow up if we need more information about your request
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with anyone outside our business except as needed to provide our service (for example, our website host and email provider for technical delivery of your form submission).
3. Storage and security
Form submissions are delivered to and stored in our email inbox.
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, including limiting access to authorised staff and using secure passwords. However, no system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
We keep your personal information only as long as it’s needed to respond to your enquiry or deliver services. We delete emails and submissions when they’re no longer required.
4. Overseas services
Our website is hosted on WordPress and email is handled through Gmail. These services may store data on servers outside New Zealand. We use reputable providers and take steps to ensure your information is handled in line with New Zealand’s Privacy Act.
5. Business sale or restructure
If we sell, merge, or restructure our business, personal information we hold may be transferred as part of that process. We will ensure any new owner is bound by privacy obligations that are at least as protective as those in this Privacy Policy.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction if it’s wrong or incomplete

7. Cookies and tracking
We don’t use cookies or tracking tools beyond Google Search Console, which doesn’t share personal information with us.
If you want to control cookies on your browser, you can usually disable or delete them via your browser’s privacy settings.
8. Privacy breaches
If we become aware of a privacy breach that could cause serious harm, we will:
- Notify anyone affected as soon as possible, and
- Contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required under New Zealand law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with a new “Effective date”.
